Over the past few months, a very dedicated fan has taken it upon himself to translate The Codex into Dutch, and he has just released the first batch of episodes. Our stats have always shown an unusually high level of activity coming out of the Netherlands, so this should benefit quite a few fans. We have added this to the sidebox rotation, as well as the Links page. Check it out!
I tell you, the things that the Edgeworks community can produce never ceases to amaze me! |

The Great Forum has been healed! A full day spent wrestling with the tired old code and massaging it into its new, sleeker form, and we are back in business!
What does this mean for you? It means more features, including an expanded profile page, the ability to friend other members, and a more powerful design, but most importantly it addresses the biggest issue facing our forum: bots. Not only are they not going to be allowed in anymore, we've kicked the ones that were here out for good! This means no more annoying messages, but it also means much faster performance for the system as a whole, since it isn't being bogged down with thousands of mindless dissidents.
Our old Codex skin, however, is now obsolete, and like a ratty trenchcoat thrown over a three-piece suit, it's bringing the whole thing down. We are therefore recommending that you use the default skin, which can be accessed through a drop-down menu at the bottom left corner of any forum page, until we can design a new Edgeworks skin for this new system. However, if the color blue makes your blood boil and you don't like change, we've left the Edgeworks skin available to those who don't mind a little loss in functionality.
A decisive blow has been struck for humankind today, and like John Connor, Morpheus, Will Smith, and Jar-Jar Binks before me, I intend to see that humanity fights back the armies of the machines and is able to enjoy the Edgeworks Forums in peace, now and forever!
UPDATE: I have rebuilt the Edgeworks skin and made the necessary updates for the new system, and everyone should be using it now. If you notice any bugs or color patches from the default skin, let me know at awinn@thecodexseries.com. Otherwise, enjoy the forums! |

Well, the prototype has arrived and it looks fine all around, so I have officially made the Edgeworks Photo Album available for purchase! There is a picture of the cover available on the Store page, along with a smaller thumbnail of the entire book, so you can get an idea of the content throughout.
We ended up getting over forty submissions from forum members, along with a lot of names and cities, so you can get some new info on your old friends. We've also included photos of every single member of the cast and crew of both series, even the ones who don't have Bios pages on the site, and many of the other cast members have new, never-before-seen photos in the book. The book also includes credits, statistics, history and background from throughout the series, and a new shot of the Heretic Crew. Overall, its a great package for any Edgeworks fan, so grab yours now! |

Greetings, everyone! I've got two big pieces of news to announce. First, after receiving dozens of photos for the Edgeworks Photo Album, I have finalized the design and sent the prototype off to be printed. I got notification that it was shipped to me yesterday, so hopefully it should be here soon. Once it is, as long as there aren't any problems with the layout or the content, I'll put up a link on the site where you can order it yourself!
The other big piece of news I've got is that the Marketplace interview I announced a while back was broadcast across the country today on NPR, a very well-respected public radio station. It's also available, as an audio file and a transcript, on Marketplace's website. It's got some good reporting on the nature of machinima and on Microsoft's Game Content Usage Rules, so go check it out!
I'll be posting another news post when I confirm that the Edgeworks Photo Album is ready to be ordered. Stayed tuned! |

| I've gotten some messages from people who are looking for a little more time to submit photos, so here's the deal: if you want to submit your photo for the Edgeworks Photo Album, now's the time. The deadline was technically today, but between a research paper and Jeff coming to LA for the weekend, it's going to be a couple of days before I can put it all together. If you get it in before I happen to start working, I'll include it. You've got some time, but don't wait around. |
